| Semi 2014.12.3 | Short description of the picture: This image is received by the navigation camera of a mars rover on 36 Saul (on March 1, 2004). Shows layered structure of a stone of "El Capitan". On one of stones it is possible to notice the opening left a mars rover for studying of structure of breed. Scientists used the camera for receipt of microscopic images and two spectrometers for detailed studying of the rock in that place where the mars rover cleaned off a stone surface from blankets and dust. The obtained data are specified availability of sulfates. All these researches are necessary for studying of historical processes on Mars in this region. Including for clarification of the reason of emergence of hematite. |
